Youth hit liquor bottle on the head of cop

A Naik Police Constable (NPC), attached to Wadi police station, was attacked by youth for initiating action against his friend. The cop was hit on the head with a liquor bottle in the wee hours of Monday, Wadi police said. NPC Ravindra Rambhau Satokar, was injured in the attack. The accused was identified as Amardeep Rahul Lamsunge (39), a resident of Eight Mile. Satokar was investigating a case in which he initiated action against a man who is a friend of Lamsunge. Angry over the police action, Amardeep spotted Satokar at 1 am when he was patrolling the area. He abused the cop and hit a liquor bottle on his head. Satokar was seriously injured in the attack. He was admitted to the hospital. Wadi police have registered a case against Amardeep and started investigation.
